About Dean

I began teaching private lessons 5 years ago while attending college for music, and have been teaching ever since. After graduating I went on to take a job teaching music at a private school for 2 years. My teaching style is adaptable, but rooted in the methodology I've developed based on my education and experience. Whether the student anticipates a career in music or just wants to explore it as a hobby, I can meet them where they're at. I also know the importance of keeping music fun and exciting in order to avoid the feeling of burnout that can so easily sabotage a potential lifetime love of music. I like tutoring because I love to share my love for music with students. I sincerely believe that music has the power to make the world a better place and I know that if I succeed in passing on my love of music to my students then I'm benefiting the community as a whole. I'd describe my personality as patient, empathetic, and supportive.
