I have experience working with children with special needs in a classroom setting. I have worked with children on the autism spectrum and strive to help them be their best selves. I have also worked with children with learning disabilities and like to make our lesson a fun experience, recognizing that everyone learns at a different pace and I have mild Cerebral Palsy and have been able to reach my goals and want to help others do the same. I understand how important it is to see a child beyond the label they have been given and see them as a person. I want to meet a child where they are at and help them progress to the person they are meant to be. I have also written a book for 9-12 discussing this topic and hope to spread a message of empowerment.
