About Dawn

I was 18 when I started providing direct care to mentally challenged adults. From there, I moved on to senior care. I started as an STNA and then eventually moved to the office side of things as a scheduling coordinator. I worked with an assistant living facility and a couple home health care facilities over the next 15 years. I left a job I loved due to the crazy hours of working 50 plus hours in the office and then being on-call all of the time. I now have an office job in a totally different field. The hours are wonderful but I miss my seniors. It's that personal connection I seem to be missing. My daughter encouraged me to get on Care. Com. She's one of the reasons I left heathcare to begin with, and now she's encouraging me to get back in it. I am looking for something maybe a couple of times a month just to get my feet wet again.
