About Dawne

Where to start? I was an auntie at the ripe old age of... eight! The youngest of six kids myself, this made sense. I grew up with and caring for my nieces and nephews. Fast forward: My husband and I have three adult children. Our son T is 28 and our daughters, K and D are 27 and 21. I was a stay at home mom for 11 years. During part of this time, I took some night classes at Naugatuck thinking I would love to work in the child care field. Time flies when you're a mom and I soon found my youngest starting half day kindergarten! The following school year I began working in the school system as a 1:1 para educator under the Special Education Department and did so for 10 years. I also worked as a CNA in both facilities and then for two years as a private, weekend live in-home care aide. I absolutely love spending time with children, animals, and our elders!
