About Dawn

Nurturing children and helping them feel safe, confident, and valued has been a major part of my life for over three decades. In addition to raising my five children, I have worked in several childcares and nannied over the years while alternating with being a full-time mother. I have also served in church nurseries and taught Sunday school to children of all ages. I bring a calm, patient, nurturing, and creative approach to childcare, with experience parenting and supporting children with autism and ADHD. I am CPR and First Aid certified. As a watercolor artist, I teach arts and crafts; music, imaginative play, outdoor activities, and make homework more engaging. I make children feel heard and valued. I respect each family's routines, values, and parenting preferences, communicate openly with parents, and I'm happy to help with children's meals, child-related tidying, homework, and swim supervision.
