About David

While I have never been hired to care for children on a day-to-day basis, I have worked with kids throughout my life. For the past 7 years, I have been a 7th-grade boys volleyball coach at Summit Hill Junior High. There, as one can assume, I had to deal with many, many challenges both in communicating with the students and making sure they are having fun. Moreover, I have worked with Illinois Health and Human Services as a Personal Support Worker where I worked with families who have kids with behavioral issues due to their autism. While there, I learned to think quickly on my feet as well as come up with fun ways to entertain kids of all ages and cognitive abilities. As for my experience working and caring for others in a broader sense, for 3 years I have worked in a retirement community/healthcare facility. I was fortunate to have personally worked with nearly 250 seniors before and during the Covid pandemic.
