About Daria

Hello! My name is Daria. I enjoy children very much. My mom was a single mom and a full-time nurse working in the hospital, so I took care of my younger siblings while also going to school. I am the oldest of 3. I am also CPR certified. I worked as a teacher for years before COVID. I taught teens for a year in private tutoring. I edited papers and helped my students with dissertations, reading comprehension, English vocabulary expansion, and essay writing for college prep. My earliest and first teaching job was teaching my youngest sister Japanese. I grew up with a dad who spoke 6 languages, so I feel that language is very important for children to learn young. I am a linguist. Japanese was the second language I learned starting at a young age, so I speak it at a high level. Later I studied Korean. Currently I'm studying Turkish actively and Chinese passively. I worked as a virtual English teacher before COVID for schools in Japan, Korea, and China. I hope to work with your family!
