About Darcy

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist who recently moved to northern Virginia! I work at a private practice with couples and families and am looking to add part time child care to my schedule because I am passionate about it. I worked for two years at a treatment facility for children and teens with severe emotional and behavioral issues. There I learned many tools and strategies for helping kids emotionally regulate, improve their social skills, and practice listening. I worked at a Zoo as a Summer Safari Leader for 2 and half years, where I was responsible for 30 kids at once. Before that I worked at Walt Disney World as a performer, which made me a more engaged and creative caretaker of kids.
