Dante was proactive about identifying healthy and developmentally appropriate activities for him (like going swimming, taking him on walks, and reading to him) and he returned at the end of their time together happy and engaged. In our daily interactions, I found Dante to be responsive to my changing requests (e.g., around feedings) and both willing to take initiative as well as ask for clarification - qualities not all caregivers her age share. She seemed to really enjoy their time together, a quality that was especially important to me as a (tired) mother struggling to let go of her child to get some work done. I was so sorry to lose her when she relocated to continue her education and I know that the next family lucky enough to secure her services will share my enthusiasm for Dante and her gift with children.
