About Dani

Hello! My name is Teacher Dani, and I am a certified special education teacher in district 75! I work primarily with students with severe disabilities in elementary school such as autism, down syndrome, multiple disabilities, and intellectual disabilities. However, I am certified with the New York State Department of Education to teach both generalized and special education students grades k-6. I currently teach a 6:1:1 3rd-5th grade class, but I have taught all elementary school grades and ratios. I adore working one-on-one with students to figure out their specific needs. My specialty is differentiating and adapting work. I love to find resources, books, worksheets, and games and alter them to make them more engaging and appropriate for all learners. Whether it be focused on academics or social skills, I'd love the opportunity to work alongside your student and help them reach their potential.
