For two years I was the Reading Coordinator at a Boys and Girls Club in Denver with students K-12 (but predominately focused on K-8). Our after school program focused on reading comprehension, and I assisted kids one-on-one with reading and writing homework as well as created my own language-based learning programming-- basically I tried to make reading fun. After the pandemic, I led a pod of three 4th and 5th graders in remote learning, helped them with their lessons, homework and reading skills.
