I worked with an elderly woman three afternoons a week for nearly a year. I provided companionship, transportation, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shower assistance, and basically anything else she needed assistance with in her day-to-day life. I also volunteered for a nursing home when I was younger. I really enjoy spending time with the elderly and helping them out. I find it to be meaningful and gratifying work.
