About Danielle

Hi my name is Danielle. I am 29 years old. I been working with kids since I was the age of 13. I took child care classes from the time I was in 6th grade till I was in 12th grade. I love kids and I love being around them and being able to teach them things. While in high school we would teach preschoolers and school age kids. We even worked with infants, handicap, special needs toddlers you name it I have worked with all kind of kids. Job History: When I finished high school I had my first full time job working with kids. My cousin needed someone to watch her little girl. My grandma was doing it but she had fallen and hurt her self and was not able to do it anymore. I started working with my cousin from the time she was 7 months till she went to school full time. While she was in my care we would take walks, play outside when the weather was nice. I even ran a play group so that she could be around other kids. I would have like 4 to 5 kids at once. So taking care of one kids it no trouble for me at all. I don't believe putting kids in front of the TV. I believe in teaching kids and playing with them and reading to them. After my cousin, I found another job working with 8-month-old twins. I didn't work with them for a long time as this family left me and didn't even tell me. I came to work one day and their was gone. After that job I started working for a wonderful family. I was a live in nanny taking care of 2 kids. A 5-year-old who was in school and then a 2-year-old who I had at home all day. I worked with this family Since October of 2009. The mom is a college teacher so she didn't need me for the summer and the 2-year-old will be going to school so I am back looking for a job.
