I have a sister 4 years younger than me named Evelyn who was born with Down syndrome. I grew up not understanding that her unique expressions and way of thinking would become something I love and admire. As I got older and became to understand she is different, I decided to educate myself on why. She has a third copy of chromozone 21, which makes her facial features stand out, and her growth development to fall behind. Since my mother was a busy woman I was in charge over my sister. My duties included showering her, brushing her teeth, dressing her, feeding her and keeping her company until my mother got home. Now, I still watch over my sister with less duties. I learned to have respect for everyone
