Rather than viewing knowledge as discovery, it becomes tedious, frustrating work to be dealt with, not cherished. As a tutor, my teaching style revolves around hands-on exploration of real-world issues, taking otherwise immaterial concepts and making them tangible. Successes are celebrated by hitting an Easy Button (and probably having a dance party); not-so-successes are examined and mapped out for future improvement. Every child has strengths and weaknesses, and my goal is to create a casual, comfortable environment that fosters critical thinking and a genuine love of learning. Please note: With permission, costumed homework nights are highly encouraged!
