About Danai

I have a BA and an MA in U. S. History and I am a certified high school social studies teacher in Florida and North Carolina. I currently teach in Asheville, NC and taught AP U. S. History, AP Macroeconomics, and AP U. S. Government and Politics at the # 3 nationally-ranked public high school in the U. S. by U. S. News and World Report. In 2023, I was a finalist for South Region Teacher of the Year in Miami-Dade County, the third largest school district in the country. The variety of my educational experience helps me evaluate each of my student's needs, including the students I tutor. I pride myself in being thorough yet efficient in my sessions, honing in on and building on each student's strengths to foster growth in areas in need of improvement through content review and lots of applied practice. In every subsequent session, we review what we have learned and move on to new challenges, always keeping course objectives and upcoming assessments in the forefront of our sessions.
