About Dana

Hi there! My name is Dana, I currently work for the children's nonprofit, Make-A-Wish, and am a former news reporter. I look forward to making your family's wishes come true, too! I've nannied for an Italian/Brazilian family (2 boys) for 4 years that I still keep in contact with, as they quickly became like family. When I started working with them, the boys were 5 and 8. Nanny duties took place Monday-Friday during the school year, and during summer break, I had a similar schedule with some traveling. My responsibilities included carpool, food prep, tutoring, and taking them to sports practice each day. I created interactive lesson plans for each child to review material with me, which translated into impressive report cards each quarter. I enjoy encouraging children to complete necessary tasks in a fun, creative way that gets them excited about the little things. From homework to crafts and everything in between, I prioritize enjoying the journey along the way.
