About Daisy

A little background about myself, I am the oldest of 4 and as a big sister I was always there to assist my mother with caring for my brothers. While at UCSC I worked for the onsite family day care. Once graduated I started working at a private school for children with autism. I learned so much and became even more patient. Then I worked for Menlo-Atherton High School as an IA for the Math Department and assisted children who were struggling in math. For three summers I worked for a program called Aim High as a Lead Teacher and I loved it very much. I worked with 6th-8th graders teaching them Math and in the afternoons we would do extracurricular activities such as crochet, baking, hiking, dance, and much more. I then went on to work with Encinal Elementary as a 1:1 aid for a child with special needs and translate meetings to parents in Spanish. I have my CBEST and this allowed me to be a substitute at the school which I did for grades K-5.
