My name is Crystal & I have a BA in English from Allegheny College and an MFA in Creative Writing & Environment from Iowa State University. I joined Teach for America in 2015 where I taught middle school for two years in Jackson, MS and worked as an after school teacher for elementary and middle school students. I've worked with kids with ADHD, ED, dyslexia and dysgraphia. I babysat off and on throughout high school and college for my younger siblings and their friends. I'm certified to teach math, English and upper elementary. I can cook, clean and drive (so pick ups/ drop offs are not a problem). Growing up, I cleaned one neighbor's house and pet sat for another, so I'm familiar with those tasks as well.

Seemed to have a great profile and was pleasant enough in exchanged messages. We scheduled a video interview in 2 days. Crystal did not answer when we called at the scheduled time. I had even shared my phone number with her beforehand so she could recognize where the call was coming from. After not answering the call, I received a "Who is this" text and when I responded there was no reply. No apology, no courtesy to cancel. Families beware if you don't want to waste your time.
