About Cristy

I have been babysitting since I was 10 years old. I grew up in West Point, NY as an Army Brat. I have 7 siblings, including myself. I am the youngest daughter and have had the opportunity to participate in helping raise my nephews and nieces (15 of them). I worked at the child development center at West Point when I was in my 20's. I was a trained, certified lifeguard during the summers. I majored in social work and specialized in adoption. My first job after I attended college was a preschool teacher. I became a special needs teacher and mainstreamed special needs children, in Kindergarten, in a "normal" classroom setting. I worked as a home health aide in Boston for a couple of years and came back to NY where I worked as a special needs teacher's aide for a young woman in the 10th grade who had a severe case of cerebral palsy. I also worked with troubled teens and other special needs such as ADD, ADHD and Autism. I have a love for children am fulfilled by caring for them.

Cristy was our full-time nanny for 7 years. She was with our son and daughter from the ages of 6 months and 5 years old. She is incredible, and is still a part of our family today. She is kind, nurturing, patient and super fun. Always doing fun activities with the kids, running them to sports, plays, etc. She isn't one of "those" caretakers, who spends time on her phone or lets the kids play on devices. She also ran errands for us, groceries, dry-cleaning, etc. She even cooked when I asked her too. She is very experienced with babies - teens. I trust her implicitly with my children and if I had another baby, she would be my first call. I can't say enough wonderful things about her.
