About Courtney

Hello! My name is Courtney and I just recently graduated from Chico State with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Child Development. I have a lot of previous experience with children and have always enjoyed working with them, which is one of the main reasons why I chose to work towards an emphasis in Child Development. Hoping to pursue future work regarding counseling and advising for children and their families, I have developed many skills in effectively communicating with children while also learning and understanding their different stages of development through various courses during my college years. Two years ago, I moved to Hawaii for the summer to work at an Elementary School where I was responsible for deriving daily lesson plans for my own class of 27 children (ages 6 - 9). Through this experience, I have developed skills necessary for motivating children towards higher achievements. I am able to provide a number of different fun and enjoyable activities for children of all ages! In addition to this particular job, I have been babysitting off and on since middle school and have also participated in assisting various summer camps in my local town, located in the Bay Area.
