About Cortnie

My name is Cortnie! I currently live in Birmingham, MI. Throughout my teenage years, I frequently baby sat for family, friends and neighbors as well as nannying an infant with underlying health conditions for roughly 6 months before starting undergrad. While I attended University of Michigan, I worked as an assistant preschool and day care teacher for 4 years. At this position, I would oversee roughly 15-20 children on a daily basis and would manage their daily routine which included coordinating daily activities, meal prep, child care (potty training, changing diapers, changing clothes and fixing hair if they got dirty outside, etc.), nap time, as well as schedule building for the week ahead, record keeping, and building relationships with their families. This position gave me experience with children ages 2-13 years old, large families and only children, children with disabilities and those who had specific health needs (allergies, asthma, heart conditions, etc.)
