About Cornelia

I recently graduated from Columbia with a Bachelor's in Art History. I love working with kids--during my three years at Columbia, I was a babysitter for the same family of two children. When I began, the girl was 3 and the boy was 4. It has been incredible to see them grow these past 3 years! We made a lot of pizza (from scratch! I love to bake), visited museums, went bike riding, played a lot of Monopoly, and had quite a few Frozen sing-along sessions. Before babysitting for this family, I was a part-time preschool teacher and after school counselor at the Jewish Community Center in Washington, DC during my gap year. At preschool I worked with children ages 2-6. I assisted with play time, trips to the park, snack time, and nap time. For after school, I worked with kids ages 6-10. I helped with homework, oversaw snack time, and led games in the gym and park. I find taking a hands-on approach with kids is super helpful in making them feel engaged and happy.
