About Clara

As an elementary science teacher for the Brooklyn after school and in-school science program The Tiny Scientist, I developed engaging science lessons for kids ages 4-10. I facilitated school pick-ups, safely shepherding kids on transit to our site, and to nearby parks. Teaching classroom science at P. S. 282 in Park Slope, I additionally supervised play and worked in a team to address unique behavioral needs. I have a strong background in round-the-clock care for kids ages 0-6. I worked at a non-profit nursery that provides 24 hour care for families in need. Thus I am professionally trained in infant and early childhood care along with CPR and basic emergency response. From play time, to meal time, to bath time, to bed time I know how to keep up healthy routines and help kiddos through transitions. I have also worked as a live-in au pair for a German family with a sweet 10 y. o. girl and two teen boys. I additionally spent years as a sleepaway camp counselor for kids ages 8-14.
