About Claire

Hi there! I have a diverse range of experiences working with children and adolescents. As a graduate student in social work, specifically school social work, I have professional experience working in schools, nonprofits, after school programs, and summer programming with children and youth from as young as 3 years to as old as 19 years old. I have experience working with children and adolescents with cognitive and physical disabilities. I worked as a camp counselor for four summers in a recreational program for persons with disabilities where I facilitated group activities and supervised groups of children and teens. I also have experience designing, facilitating, and teaching social skills curriculum to children and adolescents in school and nonprofit settings through my year with an organization and through my graduate experience in Social Work. To support myself through graduate school, I spend the academic year working part-time in a preschool and daycare center, where I am a student assistant to the lead teacher for a classroom of 30, 3 to 6-year-olds. I am spending the summer in the greater Los Angeles area, and plan on making a permanent move here when I graduate with my master's. I look forward to the possibility of working with your children!
