About Claire

I use the scientific method, math, and writing in my day to day life as a social scientist here in Austin. I'm here to connect your kids' school topics to real world situations and answer the question, "When am I ever going to use this in real life?" I remember asking that question in middle and high school too, and being frustrated when school just felt like a chore. Now I'm excited about these topics because I see their real world impact, and I'm committed to inspiring this same excitement in students! I graduated from the UT LBJ School of Public Affairs in 2020 with a Master of Public Affairs. In graduate school, I was a Teaching Assistant for two courses in the Biology department, independently leading instructional sessions, one on one, and group tutoring sessions with undergraduate students. I received 96% positive feedback from my students in end-of-semester course evaluations. My students described me as approachable, engaging, and easy to understand.
