About Claire

Degreed professional with over 30 years of experience offering literacy-based programs and instruction to elementary and preschool children. For 25 years I was a youth services librarian, offering tutoring, research help and homework advice as part of my regular public service duties. I have been a substitute teacher with Keller and Birdville ISD, and I spent one year at Arlington ISD as a classroom tutor. In 2017 I completed Region 11 training as a content specialist in Language Arts and Social Studies. I have passed the content exams for both areas for Middle School, but I am also competent in teaching these areas for younger children. I have experience working with both general ed and special education children from K - 8 grade. For the past three years I have worked with preschool children and I have extensive knowledge of didactic practices in early childhood education.
