About Cinthia

I grew up caring for my grandpa who was paralyzed from the neck down after he fell. I was nine when this happened and in the following years I gradually learned how to clean his trach valve and inner cannula, using his feeding machine, avoiding bedsores, medication management, keeping his mind engaged, feeding, bathing, dressing, transferring him, assisting him and my grandma with doctor appointments and outings and of course just keeping him company. My siblings and I spent years assisting my grandparents, I lived with my grandparents until I was 18 so I could be there full time whenever needed, I continued to come back as needed to assist until he passed in 2014 when I was 22. Since then I've been caring for my own child, then a preschool teacher for the last almost two years and received my CDA from UNR, I truly enjoy helping and caring for people and love that I can use that to help provide for my family as well and wish to continue caring for people who need me for years to come.
