In my 30s I was a home health aid in Redding California. I was a single mom and being a home health aid provided the flexibility I needed to be present in my boys lifes. The best part of the job was the relationships I built with them. I assisted in bathing, self care, laundry, meal preparation with or without diet restrictions, dr appointments, cleaning, medications and much more. When my dad became ill, I chose to quite my job and move home to care for him until he passed.
