About Cierra

Primarily, I've been in 2 households concurrently for the past 2 1/2 years, & I cherish the bonds that have been created amongst us, not to mention the families who I've met along the way. I could say so much about this! However, my kids are about to outgrow me, so I'm looking to add a new family to my roster. I worked with the Boys & Girls Club for 4 years previously; First as a site director, then as an ops coordinator, then as a floater as I segwayed into nannying. Each Summer I also ran a drama program for the tweens as a passion project. When not working on art with the kiddos, I enjoy getting outside, splashing around, podcasts, music, board games, nature documentaries, & dance along videos, but also lightening the load around the house wherever I can. My schooling is in photography & media arts. I am passionate about youth development, seeing the world through other people's lenses, & trying to make a difference in people's lives in the little ways that accumulate over time.

Cierra is an exceptional caregiver. She's extremely reliable, attentive, experienced and creative. Our kids love her. She goes above and beyond every day. She's very good at consistent incentives and discipline, and has even created visual reward/discipline systems for our kids. As the kids have grown, she's been not just a caregiver but a mentor, doing art projects with them, teaching them new techniques, and talking things through as they grow into tweens and teens. She is also a wonderful photographer and we treasure the beautiful collection of professional-quality photos she's snapped over the years (with our permission). Before we started working with Cierra, I was constantly stressed about child care. I was just reflecting at how much of a difference she has made. I feel grateful every day that she is part of our lives!
