About Christy

I am a dedicated Elementary Educator with 19 years of experience fostering student growth and achievement. My background: classroom teacher, tutor, and writing resource teacher. Most recently, I have served as intervention specialist, where I supported students in small groups with targeted interventions designed to meet learning needs. I am committed to helping students build confidence and a positive mindset for learning. When students feel supported they are more willing to take risks academically. I genuinely believe that students learn by 'doing.' My goal is to help students gain independence through explicit modeling and practice. I enjoy crafting engaging lessons so that information is retained. I look forward to your student reaching their full potential. Remember--think positive, anything is possible!
