I have been working in professional childcare settings for seven years, including both home and facility set ups. My most recent positions include nannying for a family with 3 kids 4 and under, and working in a Montessori preschool. I am passionate about helping children grow and understand the world around them, and believe there is fun to every stage. I value a gentle approach, while also helping children understand limits and boundaries. I also highly value a collaborative approach with parents, so the children feel safe and secure knowing that their caregivers are consistent in their approach. I am looking for a long term position, am open to any age range, and am comfortable caring for multiple children. Christine is so much more than just a child caregiver. While she does provide wonderful care, she gives so much more. She has a heart of gold and she gives gifts of sweetness and joyful creativity to who ever she is serving. When my children were being taken care of by Christine, I never had to worry. She provided such a safe and loving atmosphere. Any instructions that I gave were always carefully followed. I knew that if she had a question she would ask for help. She was teachable, resourceful and full of initiative. When I would come home, not only would I find my children happy in some activity, but my house was often cleaner too. My only complaint is that I haven't found another care giver like her! My children still ask for her to come and play at our house! She is an amazing source of good ideas for solving boredom. Even now after 2+ years since we moved away, if we ever need a recommendation for a good real-aloud we will text Christine!
