16 years ago I took on a daycare job as just a summer job. Even though I had always wanted to be a teacher at a young age I didn't go to this job thinking anything other then it being a summer job. However something about working with children and watching them accomplish their milestones as they grew and knowing I was apart of the reason made me believe maybe it wasn't just a summer job but a career. Now 16years in give or take I have my CDA have worked in daycare centers where I have been an Asst teacher all the way up to the asst Director I have achieved many different certificates that has furthered my knowledge in lots of different areas, as well I am CPR and first aid certified with credentials towards my BS degree. I am now a mom of my own 11year-old. And Just adopted my other son. I enjoy my career path very much and it is something that I can take confidence in knowing that I do it well.
