I am a friendly, energetic, and compassionate educator looking to put my teaching skills to use in this VERY unusual time. A recent graduate of Clarkson Univeristy's MAT program, I just got let go from my job at a local school district because of budget cuts. Although my official New York State Certification is in Earth Science, I majored in Environmental Studies as an undergraduate at Siena College, so I am comfortable teaching biology and chemistry as well. My experience working as an educator began 5 years ago, when I served as an Environmental Education Intern at the Albany Pine Bush Preserve. Since then, I have completed 2 paid internships in Environmental Education and worked as a Teaching Assistant and High School Cross Country/Track Coach while I pursued my Master's degree. I choose to become a teacher because it combined my passion for science with my desire to help others.
