Hello! My name is Christina and I have been a part-time tutor for 4+ years now teaching basic math, algebra 1/2, and geometry. I've worked many jobs in the past such as a swim coach, nanny, band instructor, engineer so I bring a lot of experience from many different fields of work! Currently, I work as a product designer for a tech company during the day and love working with kids in the afternoons. My teaching style: Tutoring is a two-way relationship! I do my best to learn the interests and needs of my students and emphasize communication and intention when I teach. My goal is to build confidence in my students when learning math since math will not only give you better grades but will also improve your understanding of the world and how to improve your own lifestyle. Degree: I recently graduated in 2018 from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Cognitive Science (a degree combining classes in neuroscience, computer science, psychology, and anthropology).

We have hired Christina on a regular basis for over a year now. She is so wonderful! She has been a tutor and all around mother's helper for us. She has helped tutor and babysit our children who are 5 year old twins right now. She is so very patient and kind and caring. I trust her completely. She is very good at explaining things and really cares about the kids. I know she has many other kids that she tutors who are older and she really goes the extra mile to help them understand their homework. She has a natural affinity for both teaching and children. Christina has also been a truly exceptional mother's helper for us and is willing to help with anything we need. She has done cleaning, sorting, shopping, packing, moving, organizing tasks for us. She is very smart, very organized, and very good at everything she does. She is very reliable and always shows up on time. And she is simply the nicest person you'll ever meet. I highly, highly recommend her!
