I have been caring for kids since the age of 11. I received a lot of my infant care training when I was 15. I volunteered at a hospital in my hometown of Dunwoody, GA, and was placed in the nursery and postpartum wing. I spent 3 years working there and then I went away to college. I also received specialized training when my husband and I went through our foster parent education classes in Chicago, Illinois. I am a professional educator and have been a school principal, where I was responsible for the safety and welfare of over 400 kids every single day. To say I love kids is an understatement. I'm also a mom to an 11-year-old boy. He was our foster baby, and we were able to adopt him. When babysitting, I specialize in infant care. Put a baby in my arms, and I am over the moon. Dirty diapers, projectile burps, and crying do not phase me. I love to rock, cuddle with, read to, play with, and just hold little ones. They always bring a smile to my face.

To say Chris is an amazing person would be an understatement. She is phenomenal! So caring, considerate, and wise. She was so gentle with my newborn son from the moment they met, and as we talked about his care and needs she asked me how I was doing and if I was taking time to care for myself. I was so appreciative of that because it showed she sees the bigger picture of childcare-that a mother's recovery is equally important. Watching her interact with my baby and hearing her story of why she chose to join Care.com instantly wanted me to do better for my son and for other moms.
