I dropped out of corporate life more than 20 years ago to pursue a career as a nanny. I hold a BA from Colby College (majors in Psychology & German Lang. and Lit.; Conc. in Government & Sociology). Was certified WSI, speak German and Spanish, and can operate farm and other heavy equipment. I've worked with all ages and abilities, taught swimming for 7 years, and subbed in schools for 6+ years- with full-time appointments. I've been caring for children since I was 12, have participated in Mommy and me dance, karate, swimming and gymnastics classes, volunteered in classrooms, scouts, and field trips. I've dealt with allergies, dietary restrictions, spectrum disorders, and all manner of behavioral concerns. I sing, read music (passably), and play most sports. I love to cook- especially with kids, and have served as household manager. I find myself with 2 days a week to grow a new family. I am seeking another long term position, but will accept short term or interim work.
