About Chloe

Hi! I'm Chloe! I am a 3rd grade teacher in Maine. I previous taught in Virginia for 3 years, and 1 year in Connecticut. I attended Teachers College at Columbia University where I received instruction in Gifted Education. I completed my Masters at Sacred Heart University with a concentration in elementary education. Being able to work in different educational settings has shaped my perspective on teaching, and every child loves being engaged and interested in what they are learning. From my perspective and experience thus far, every child learns in a different way, and a teacher and tutor must take that into account. I work to effectively account for children's individual skills and interests. Perhaps most importantly, I have learned to stay positive and patient when working with children. It may take some time for them to learn a concept, but once they understand it, they feel satisfied and accomplished. That is why I became a teacher; to facilitate a love of learning and curiosity!
