Having a formal position as a house manager has been a job I enjoy. The duties I perform incorporate a variety of skills. In my current position, I am responsible for washing dirty laundry, folding and putting away clean clothes, sorting old clothes for donation, loading and unloading the dishwasher, hand washing dirty pots and pans, making beds, picking up and putting away toys, tidying up common spaces as well as bedrooms, preparing nutritious dinners (which typically consist of a meat dish, a grain such as rice, and cooked vegetables), cleaning up after meals are eaten, and organizing spaces.
