I have done private pay home health care for more than 14 yrs. With a wide range of experience. People with Dementia/Alzheimer's, TBI, various cancers, ostomy's, Parkinson's/Ataxia, CHF, stroke and more. Comfortable with DC, med set up, showering, various lifts. Go between for patient and MD. I have helped family members understand the process their family member is going through. I'm happy to help with light house keeping as well as organizing or downsizing. I will admit I am not the best cook but I can make basic meals or with recipes I can cook. I love working with the elderly and special needs as I am a natural caregiver. Because I care I might hover so it's fine to ask me to step back. I cannot work Sunday's. prefer no 3rd party payments. I have a 4 hour minimum and my rate, depending on the level of care, is $32-$40/hr.

Cheryl has a very upbeat attitude and works hard to connect with her patient. What I found most valuable during her time providing care to my beloved was her practical approach to issues. All too often it felt like the visiting medical staff was providing advice which was out of touch with the situation. On the other hand, because Cheryl was around so much more, and also had a wealth of experience in dealing with terminal Alzheimer's patients, I found her approaches to things better and more inline with the true needs of my life champion.
