Chelsey is one of those employees that you wish you could clone. Chelsey always came to work with a smile and positive energy. She is very dependable and her quality of work is outstanding. She treated the residents with respect and cared for them as if they were one of her loved ones. She is very compassionate and caring. Chelsey would always read the communication book and review the service plans to ensure she knew what was expected of her for the day and the resident s needs. Chelsey worked as a great team player with all of her co-workers and would always ask if there was anything she could help them with. She would volunteer to help with any projects that I or the Director needed assistance with. Chelsey volunteered and went on Resident Outings to assist the Life Enrichment Coordinator with activities. If a resident with dementia was wandering the halls or wondering what to do, Chelsey would take the time sit with them and visit or find an activity that the resident enjoyed. She took the time to create moments of joy for them. She would go the extra mile to make the residents feel special, loved and well cared for. When I think about qualities of a great caregiver, I think of someone who will listen with compassion and concern, someone who takes the time to understand your needs, someone who is conscientious, someone who is knowledgeable, someone who is caring and someone who works as a team player.
