Hello! My name is Chelsea. I am EC-6th Grade and Special Education teacher certified in the state of Texas. I taught first-third grade in Dallas ISD and Austin ISD and have experience in Montessori, Workshop, and Project based classrooms. I teach all Elementary subjects, but I have a special place in my heart for teaching children how to read. It is such a fulfilling process, as children recognize their growth and have that "aha!" moment as it all begins to click and come together. I believe that every child deserves a beautiful educational experience--one that is fun, positive, and feels safe enough to take risks and express ideas. We hired Chelsea to tutor our five-year-old son. She did a wonderful job! She had a thoughtful lesson plan with plenty of materials to keep him engaged and interested. She was very patient, which made him feel more at ease with the process. Chelsea also would email us with suggestions of materials that were more suited to his liking. We will definitely use Chelsea again. She is a gem!
