About Chelsea

I have a great love for children, their education and care. I'm a student in college and studying to be an Elementary School teacher. I am a Child Development major. I have a lot of experience with ADHD (my younger brother and parents have been diagnosed). I also babysat my neighbors' kids when I was in high school and have recently done some professional observing/volunteer work in elementary classrooms. Children are one of the most fascinating things to me because they are extremely impressionable and can obtain so much knowledge at such a young age. My philosophy in life is to pour as much positivity and love into the world and I believe the best way to do that is through children. They will soak up anything you teach them so that is why it is important to teach them academics, manners, self-regulation skills, and proper social skills to give them a good foundation for the adults they will one day be. I am certified in First Aid and CPR for children and adults. Depending on the age of the children, I would plan developmentally appropriate activities that challenge their knowledge but also build their self-esteem. I am a very crafty person and actually enjoy scrapbooking and making homemade cards for my loved ones in my free time. I have been told that when people describe me to others they first talk about my optimistic nature and happiness. I pride myself on the fact that I am always a happy person and I see life s struggles as opportunities to grow stronger. I am also a very reflective person so I am always trying to be better than I was yesterday. If you want to leave your little ones in the hands of someone who is compassionate, crafty, and educated, I'm the girl for you!
