About Chelsea
Experience: 10 yrs
Hi there! I'm a special education teacher with 12 years of teaching experience, including 5 years teaching reading online. My passion is helping students build the skills and confidence they need to become successful readers! I specialize in teaching phonics and helping children learn to read, with a focus on phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, fluency, and comprehension. I love finding ways to make reading click for each child and celebrating their progress along the way. I look forward to working together to help your child grow into a confident, happy reader!
Most recent review
Chelsea has been such a wonderful tutor for our two children over the past few months. We’ve seen tremendous progress in both their reading and math skills - but most importantly, they’ve become much more confident readers. My daughter even received the “Most Improved Reader” award at the end of the school year, just two months after starting sessions with Chelsea! She’s kind, patient, and truly cares about her students’ growth. Chelsea has been incredibly flexible with our busy schedules and always keeps us updated on how the kids are doing. We were initially unsure about virtual tutoring, but it’s turned out to be such a positive experience - our kids stay engaged and look forward to their sessions each week. Chelsea is not only patient and encouraging but also a very effective instructor. We truly can’t recommend Chelsea enough. She’s made such a meaningful difference for our family, and we’re so grateful for the confidence and skills she’s helped our children build.
