About Chelsea

I have been working with children in some capacity since I was a teenager. I started babysitting, working at camps, and volunteering with children at church when I was in high school. For the past four years I ran a before- and after-school program and taught preschool. I also taught children's theatre classes with a local theatre company. I received my degree in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children from Brockport in 2016, and I love sharing arts experiences with children. I have an energetic, creative, playful personality and strongly believe that young children learn best through play and exploration of the world around them. I would rather read to a child, take them outside to explore, or play pretend with them than sit on the couch and watch television. I believe my job as an adult who works with young children is, above all else, to help them be good humans and encourage them to make a positive impact on the world around them with their own skills, passions, and talents.
