I first began enriching the life of seniors 5 years ago, when my grandfather who was suffering from Parkinson's disease could no longer care for himself. I without a doubt volunteered to provide assistance with ADL's and to be his biggest companion. In between of hearing all my grandfather's stories and helping maintain his dignity, I was also able to provide temporary relief to my grandmother, allowing her to focus on herself a little more. I am experienced with seniors who suffer from a variety of dementias, both facilities for which I was a staff member for specialized in Memory Care. I'm a qualified medication administration personnel in the state of Colorado, and have my First Aid/CPR certification. I currently assist a gentleman in his residence 3 nights a week, our connection was on care. com.
