Experience: 3 yrs
Making a positive difference in people's lives is what drives me. For the past three years, I've had the privilege of supporting adults and seniors, empowering them to maintain their independence. My approach is rooted in patience and empathy, and I'm skilled at adapting to changing routines, especially when incorporating memory care activities. I understand the importance of clear communication. I provide families with daily reports and verbal updates, always respecting their preferred method. Building a genuine connection with your loved one means understanding their personal history and preferences. I can assist with personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, transportation, hospice, and mobility assistance. I am committed to providing reliable care and peace of mind for your family. I have a car and am comfortable with pets. I'm eager to learn how I can bring comfort and support to your family. I also pick children up from the bus stop and babysit.
Charles is very conscientious, trustworthy, quick to learn, respectful, communicative, helpful and resourceful. He has been caring for my father since last fall (Oct 2025) and has filled in at times when we could find no one else to help. My father's care is very challenging due to his severe aphasia and right side paralysis (in addition to other health conditions), but Charles continues to make communication headways and tries his best to engage my father in constructive ways (exercises, therapies, playing cards or shuffleboard) in addition to helping with his personal hygiene and care. Charles has proved extremely competent at learning and implementing facets of holistic care used in our setting which are outside of the normal venue of caregivers. He is a man of many abilities and talents and ensures all equipment is in the best (and safest) working condition – fixing things as the situation warrants. We are blessed to have his help at this very challenging time.
