About Cathy

I recently retired after teaching HS English for 32 years. I am also a certified special education teacher and have created and implemented Individualized Education Plans (IEP) to improve reading and writing skills. I assess unique learning styles through active listening and by adapting my methods--whether through visual aids, hands-on activities, or collaborative discussions--to ensure concepts truly resonate. As well, I tutored several students preparing them for SAT/ ACT testing successfully and have been trained in the Orton Gillingham reading program. I believe open communication with you and your family is the foundation of our success. I look forward to partnering with you to help you achieve your academic goals and discover your own path to success.
