You name it and I have done it and with a smile. I have over 10 years of experience. I started in Health care when I got a Nurse's Aid Certificate before I graduated from College. I would use it as a back up when needed. Over the years it has really come in handy and I have grown so much doing caregiving. I learn from each situation. I learned from my friend who was a Quadriplegic and lived with her for 6 years and cared for her over 15 years on a part time basis. I learned about Alzheimer's at my previous position, while living with my client in her home for 8 years. I understand what is most important with people who suffer from Alzheimer's is a sense of comfort and safety. It is a very frightening experience for them and once you have their trust, a difficult situation as a caregiver becomes possible. Leading with attention and care and love you find a way together. I also have cared for my client's pets and have worked for many people through the years in different circumstances

Cathy has been caring for my sister who has Alzheimer's disease in a live-in capacity for more than six years. Cathy is a very kind, thoughtful and considerate person and caregiver. She communicates very clearly in words and writing, providing excellent detailed reports. As the care-giving situation with my sister has evolved as the disease has progressed, Cathy has adapted her care-giving methods and routines accordingly, always prioritizing my sister's well being, happiness and quality of life. Our family is deeply grateful for Cathy's outstanding care-giving abilities, and for the peace, comfort and happiness that her care-giving provides. Additionally, Cathy has also had to manage and adapt her care-giving to the unprecedented challenges presented by the Covid pandemic, and she has handled these challenges very successfully.
