About Catherine

I have always loved school and had a passion for education. This passion led me to study communication for my BA and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) for my MA degree. I graduated cum laude from Regent University in 2012 and cum laude from Azusa Pacific University in 2018. I have taught English in Turkey, Lebanon, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and China. Last semester I helped design and implement the curriculum for a pilot program for elementary students called SPARK (Science, Play, Reading, and Art with Kids). I currently teach High School English part time. I taught violin for 7 years and yoga for 2 years while I earned my degrees. I've taught English/ writing for the past 3 years. I believe in hands on learning and curriculum design is my special passion. I believe each student is unique and work to find ways to connect with each student in a way that honors their uniqueness and teach in a way that works to their learning style strengths.
